There are many health and beauty related ways you can use petroleum jelly , rest assured. However, little is known about the origin of this product.

Vaseline is a petroleum-derived product made by “mixing” it with steam and filtering it under high temperatures. This means that it is a semi-solid substance of hydrocarbons derived from fossils.

While it may seem a bit strange to use a petroleum-derived product for skin and health, it can have a lot of protective properties for the body as it undergoes a very extensive refining process.
