People who fall under this type see love as an adventure. These people are often impulsive, independent, very curious and often act as if they are just “living in the moment”. Let’s look at the Explorer’s basic characteristics:

Personality Type 2 – The Leader

Explorers usually complement other Explorers

This is not really surprising. People who are looking for a relationship based on emotion and passion in the moment fit well together. For example, if you’re a Mediator or a Builder, you may not align with the Explorer’s spontaneity.

After all, living in the moment is difficult to combine with stability and building a family. According to Fisher, the Explorer-Explorer combination is therefore the most ‘explosive’ match.

This commitment is characterized by:

Constant ups and downs.
Rearranging and moving from place to place.
An intense amount of love.

However, both partners could get bored once they have what they want.

Builders often fit well with Builders

This couple values family, meeting new friends and spending time with their families. They also like to focus on building a future together that is stable and calm. A future where they feel in control of all aspects of their lives.

There is not much sensation and few risks are taken. These two like to take it easy and play it safe.

Leaders are a good match for Mediators

Many couples are able to build a long-lasting and stable relationship when they fall into one of these two profiles. People who are analytical, direct and perfectionistic by nature often find their happiness in people who are more sensitive, empathetic and emotional. They complement each other well.

The analytical, objective side also ties in well with the intuitive and sensitive side. Both types therefore seem to be attracted to the needs of the other. Or maybe it’s simply that they’re attracted to something they don’t normally experience or feel in their daily lives.
