The many hair care products that we call conditioners have been around for years and have earned a special place in the beauty routine of many women. However, a natural conditioner appears to be less known.

While shampoo will keep your hair clean and fresh, it should be supported with a conditioner that can protect and repair the hair.

When you wash your hair, excess sebum, dead skin cells and other accumulated environmental impurities are all flushed out of the hair.

However, it also causes the hair follicles to become slightly inflamed and the hair more prone to damage caused by free radicals and heat.

This is where the importance of a conditioner becomes apparent. A conditioner will provide the hair with essential nutrients that can repair damaged hair.

Fortunately, conditioners are easily available and there are many different variations for different needs.

However, for people who would like to save some money and prefer to use 100% natural products, there is also a really simple and effective natural solution that offers the same benefits and maybe more.

Ready to find out what solution this is?

The basic ingredient for this natural conditioner is apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is an economical alternative to strengthen hair and restore natural shine.

We have already emphasized several times on our site which medicinal properties apple cider vinegar has, as well as in which ways you can use the product in and around the house.

However, what many people still don’t know is that apple cider vinegar can also be used for hair as a replacement for commercial conditioners that often contain harsh chemicals.

The best thing about this is that apple cider vinegar not only softens and detangles hair, but also offers many more benefits that undoubtedly prove that apple cider vinegar deserves to beat other products.

1. Fights dandruff

Thanks to its antifungal and antibacterial properties, apple cider vinegar is a great way to reduce the presence of fungi that can cause dandruff.

2. Restores the hair’s natural pH value

Clean Hair

Changes in the hair’s natural pH can cause problems such as an oily or dry scalp. Unfortunately, there are many factors that can disrupt the pH level and cause hair to look brittle.

However, apple cider vinegar is said to help restore that pH level.

3. Helps Hair Retain Its Natural Oils

Hair follicles are critical to ensuring that the hair retains its natural oils and keeps the hair healthy and shiny.

The ingredients in apple cider vinegar stimulate the renewal of these hair follicles, making them better able to retain the natural oils without causing changes.

4. Stimulates Hair Growth

Long hair

Applying apple cider vinegar directly to the scalp can help promote blood flow to the roots and encourage natural hair growth.

In addition, apple cider vinegar helps to eliminate the microorganisms that can have a negative effect on the hair follicles  and this is essential for strong and long hair.

5. Fix split ends

Using this product consistently may help reduce those unattractive split ends.

How do you make this natural conditioner with apple cider vinegar?

Shiny Hair
  • First, we must state that 100% organic apple cider vinegar will provide the most benefits. Organic apple cider vinegar undergoes a different process, in which the natural vitamins, fibers and trace elements are preserved.
  • The second thing to know is that apple cider vinegar has a pretty strong smell. Fortunately, however, this smell dissipates once your hair dries.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 spray bottle

Instructions

  • Dilute the apple cider vinegar in the water and heat it over low heat for about twenty minutes.
  • After twenty minutes, remove it from the heat and let the mixture cool for another thirty minutes.
  • Then pour the mixture into the spray bottle and apply it to your hair.

Operating mode

  • Wash your hair beforehand with your regular shampoo and then spray it with your homemade conditioner.
  • Gently massage the conditioner into the scalp with circular movements.
  • Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it out.
  • You can use this conditioner every day. In any case, try to use it at least three times a week for best results.

If you usually suffer from oily hair, it is better to make the conditioner a little more concentrated by adding a little more apple cider vinegar.

However, remember that you should never apply apple cider vinegar directly to your hair or scalp without first diluting it in some water. In this case, apple cider vinegar is much too aggressive.

Add this product to your beauty routine and discover for yourself that your hair will soon have a much healthier shine.

Note: The properties of apple cider vinegar for the hair in particular do not seem to have been studied in detail until now.

However, apple cider vinegar itself has been studied. That research seems to indicate that the benefits could also be applied to the hair. When in doubt, of course, as always, consult your doctor.
