  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (20 gr.)
  • 2 tablespoons moisturizing baby oil (30 gr.)

Preparation

  • First, mix the two ingredients in a bowl until a paste is formed. When it is well mixed, apply it all over your body. Especially in the roughest spots like your elbows, knees and heels.
  • While applying the scrub, gradually massage your body in circular motions. This is to activate the circulation of your body. Massage yourself for at least five minutes. Then rinse it off with warm water.
  • You should perform this routine at least once every two weeks to eliminate the build-up of dead skin cells.

By doing this you remove dead skin cells in a healthy and natural way. Your skin will get the daily hydration it needs from the baby oil.

It is a simple and inexpensive remedy. The ingredients are easy to find and it only takes a few minutes to mix and apply properly.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup brown sugar (100 g)
  • 1 cup olive oil (200 ml)
  • Essential Oil

Preparation

  • Beat the olive oil and brown sugar in a bowl with a whisk.
  • Beat until sticky and thick. It should not be watery or it will drip off your face.
  • Then add a few drops of essential oil of your choice. Just be careful not to add too much to avoid the smell becoming too strong and the oil causing skin irritation.

Ginger essential oil is the best because it is soothing and refreshing. You can also use grapefruit or orange oil to refresh your skin.

However, the relaxing effect of lavender is what you need if you plan to apply the mask in the evening.

Wash your face with warm water before doing this facial. Be sure to remove any excess grease, sweat, or makeup. Pat your skin dry with a towel to keep the pores open.

Application

  • Use your fingers to apply the face mask. Then massage it in in circular motions. Remember to avoid your eyes and mouth. Then leave it on for at least 15 minutes.
  • Then rinse it off completely with cool water and pat your face dry.
  • Finally, apply your favorite face cream.

Oil isn’t the only option for making sugary body scrubs.

  • Make a scrub by mixing a ripe banana with sugar. It will make your skin smooth and soft from the first use.
  • Scrub it all over the body and massage it in. This scrub is also good for fighting cellulite, especially on your legs and arms.
  • Avocado is also great for making masks. Mix mashed avocado with 3 tablespoons of brown sugar in a bowl. Then spread it evenly on your face.
